Virtually none of us Comptech SC owners drag race. Those that did blew multiple rear end components in the process. I know someone on his fourth differential/2nd or 3rd set of CV/axles. I'd highly recommend the SC for road racing where its benefits can properly shine. I wouldn't recommend using an S2000 for drag racing especially with a Supercharger. Times have been in the 13.4 down to the 13.0 range with a proper launch. With a 50shot SC owners have run in the mid 12's.

Wow, I don't road race around here to often, to many cops. But the dragway isn't to far away. Looks like I have a lot to consider. I could live with high 13 second runs stock though. Thank you very much for your input.

I hope I'm not the only one that gets a good chuckle from that one...

Indeed. What our friend Jerry meant by road racing was running the S2000 on a real racetrack - one with corners and stuff. A place where your speed is governed only by your skill, not the police. It is here that the S2000 really shines; not in the 1/4.

Good luck!

Thank you for the clear definition. I don't track road race either. To many corners and stuff.

I disagree. I think the S2000 does shine in the 1/4 mile. An NA 2.0 4cyl that can run low 14s/high 13s is fast.

It may be "fast" in the 1/4 but that is not what the car was really designed for.

I never said it was better as a drag car than as an autoxer or that it was designed as a drag car. I just said that it does well on a dragstrip for what it has.

I swear that this is the 3rd or 4th different company I've heard of that will be the first to get the Vortech SC kits in stock...
