Supercharger BOV idle setting
#21
I had a post about this to a while back. My Godzilla also leaks air at idle actually at cruising its gets annoying. What Aus is saying about it being a bypass valve instad of blow off valve is right.
I might switch BOV I dont like the sound of the Godzilla.

Aus2000: Them model I have is for the Audi 1.8T and has a 25mm inlet and 25mm recirculation outlet. I need an adapter that will mate the 25mm air hose to the rubber Comptech intake hose where the original Bosch valve was.
I guess if I can't find this type of fitting I can just modify the old Bosch valve by hollowing it out and sealing hole where the vacuum hose goes. this will essentually make it a 25mm right angle hose coupler.
Revhi: Couldn't you just adjust the spring tension on the Godzilla so it doesn't leak during idle? Let me know if you want to sell it or perhaps trade

You shouldn't have much trouble finding an adaptor. Try a plumbing or auto shop and take the Bosch unit with you for sizing.
Personally I think you have chosen the best option to replace the Bosch unit. I had heard that our valves were used on Audis and VWs so I guess it makes sense to use what they use. And the Stealth lets you choose between plumbback and PSSSFFT sound at the twist of a dial.
BTW, what did you pay for it in the US? They are about $AUD500 here.

I got mine off of ebay for US$265, which is pretty expensive for a BOV.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW
It is the one for the Audi 1.8T, comes in 4 colors.
Or alternately you can get the GFB Hybrid for US$175.

The differences are minor;
-- the Stealth FX has a rotating vacuum nozzle while the Hybrid is on top of the unit
-- the Stealth FX is adjustable from 0%(fully recirculating)-100% vent to atmosphere while with the Hybrid you have 3 settings fully recirculate, fully vent, or a 50%/50% combination.
