Bleeding the clutch with fresh fluid will keep your car functioning in the mean time. Depending how quickly it's leaking you could easily get a full month or more out of one clutch bleed. I've kept my master going for a while in this state.

Thanks guys - I'll see if bleeding helps while I wait... out of interest, should I order a 2000-2003 CMC - or after market?
@Kyushin - there was a quite a bit of black gunk

Good luck, refer to my link on post #4 if you need to change out the CMC. Since there is black gunk in your reservoir probably hasn't been changed in a while. You should bleed the system. Be careful not to induce air into the system. I gravity bled my clutch didn't take long at all. I was expecting it to be a longer job, but it was really quick.
Good luck, and keep us updated with your situation.

Managed to find two places who will ship to South Africa, both cost the same after shipping - one is an after market Omni Power Master Clutch Cylinder off of eBay, details here.
The other is a Honda replacement, details here, from Dealer Direct Parts
Both are $152 shipped - any advice on which to take?
Buying a replacement locally is $308 and a 21 working day wait

I found this post
Should I attempt a fluid replace first, before ordering a new one?
The fluid gets dirty fast from the amount of travel and frequency that the clutch pedal is pressed. It is many times more than the brake master.
Change it ever 5k miles, it should take you 3-5 minutes. you don't even need to bleed it or flush it. Empty it with a turkey baster, clean it out spotless with paper towls, and refill it.
Mine leaked bad when I first noticed it, it has since stopped. Just like a few other hundred s2ks have stopped.
I also find that ATE super blue will stay cleaner longer. If you switch to super blue, you will then need to do a flush.
