Default Substitution parts

I ordered some rear springs for a MY 2000 S2000, part #52441-S2A-014, and they just arrived but I am puzzled by the color codes on the springs. I had read on the forum (somewhere) that the color codes for the My2000 and 2001 rear springs was blue, red, red. The springs that arrived(with the correct, 2000 and 2001, part number) had the color code blue, orange, red, exactly the same as the color code on my My 2004 rear springs . My question is, do the color codes have any thing to so with the model year or has Honda substitued AP2 springs for all their repalcement parts?

Just an up-date for any one concerned about identifying springs. Be careful about colors in the color codes. I did not realize that Honda uses red, orange and pink on the springs. The correct code for My 2000 and 2001 rear springs is blue/orange/red while the code for the MY 2004 and above rear springs is blue/orange/pink the My 2004 fronts have the code blue/yellow/pink
