Put the key in, hold pressure on it counter clock-wise, and then smack the end with a rubber mallet. It's gentle and very controllable.

gratz on bumping the oldest thread ever.

spray the bolts with pb blaster or wd40.

Spark plug covers are useless cosmetic pieces.

Good luck.

Don't use a worn out Allen driver, don't use an SAE one either. Use only a Metric driver that snugly fits the hex. If it's loose, you'll mangle the bolt.

It's pretty basic hand tools use.

Yep. and if you want to keep your cover afterwards, dont forget to make it SNUG.

I thought I'd outsmart the damn thing and finger tighten + a little more.. I developed a serious rattle from the engine, come to find out one bolt loosened itself and ran away, and three of them were pretty much backed all the way off and about to follow the first bolt out. Cover was rattling all over the place.

44 posts about a spark plug cover and 4 socket-head capscrews?
