lol, i wanted to see what the oil level is (it's been 8 mo's) , but couldnt find the dipstick.. someone help out this n00b!

Your owner's manual shows you the picture of the dipstick. Have you got one? Have you considered reading it yet?

In lieu of the owner's manual (and you really SHOULD have one), try looking at the top of the valve cover toward the front. There's a black, square handle. Pull it up and out.

Dude, don't even bother checking the oil. Just go ahead and change it.

So that's where the oil filler cap is! I've been putting oil in through the dipstick hole.

no you moron, oil goes into the gas tank and the engine routes it to where its supposed to go!

WOW, props for having the guts to ask this question!!! I just want to know how long you looked for the dipstick before you became so desperate that you had to ask?

Side note: It took me a couple minutes to find the gas cap release when I filled up for the first time.

Also, the owners manual is useful reading for many reasons, among them the location of the dipstick!
