i reopened this to give you the opportunity to clarify.

unfortunately, from the sound of it, you aren't the most knowledgeable about cars in this regard (that is no offense intended, just squaring things away here) and unfortunately, your mechanic doesn't seem to know anything about S2k's either.

there is something being lost in the translation here, so please get pictures of what you are claiming shouldn't be welded, and then post them here.

For what it's worth, my civic is the same way. When I was putting on my Koni Yellow's w/ Ground Controls I attempted to use the impact wrench on the "welded nut". Needless to say, it didn't work. Undo the bolt itself, not the nut.

If your mechanic can't figure this out, RUN AWAY

There is a lot to installing a suspension correctly.

yeah I just completely rebuilt his head and got his car running, but I am ignorant to s2000's

when I pulled the wheel off, the bolt side and the nut side were tack welded.

not just the nut like other hondas, both the nut and the bolt are welded, and honestly I didn't feel like doing them, I could of easily took a grinder and grinded everything off, but then again his struts didn't have any nuts with them either.

for the people who were bashing his mechanic (me) in the other thread, I keep forgetting I know nothing about cars btw I am his 'new' mechanic for the time being.

any more questions from the peanut gallery?
