Hi Guys.

Are there any parts available or is there a way that one could strengthen the tranny?
This comes after I had to just replace my tranny because of a broken main shaft and second gear.

Vortech S/C installed.

What kind of clutch are you running

I'm not sure what brand it is, but I know that its a pull copper clutch.
My tuner installed this upgrade with the S/C

Not that a strong clutch will typically break a main shaft and a gear, but if your clutch grabs very hard, it could be stressing the tranny too much and adding to the problem. But then again, if you're making enough power to toast second gear, you probably need a strong clutch. If you're really serious, you could look into a hybrid gearbox with the first three or four gears being straight cut for added strength. If your SC setup is stock or only running slightly higher psi, I think you just got unlucky and don't really need a beefed up tranny. maybe post over in the FI forum.. they know a lot more about this stuff than I.
