Tried that. Damn things still wouldn't come off. For those who used a dremel, how did you get the blade to the head of the bolt. It's a pretty tight fit.

You have to cut through the bottom of the head of the bolt and the top of the washer. I think that is what you are asking.

bringing back the old thread, but i just had taken off my diff to get it fixed. my friend suggested that i use loctite on output shafts when i put them together. what color of loctite should i use? red for the max strength?

Use a temporary loctite. It might be purple, but don't hold me to it. Permanent is just that: it's never coming out ever. Temp will keep the bolts in place just fine if torqued correctly.

which one would be the temporary one? is it blue? Honda dealer did the last diff install and i believe they had put loctite on output shafts as they were extremely hard to unbolt them.

Don't put loctite on them. They are fine just torqued to factory spec.

working on those damn internal wrenching 6mm bolts myself and it's the only thing holding me up. i tried using a hammer already but after i cut my socket shorter so i can get a longer ratchet in there i'll give it another go. last resort i guess i'll have to cut the heads off. thanks for the advice fellas...

On what situation would the Red one be used? Will the Blue hold up just fine? When I tried to take those nuts and bolts off from the output shafts, some serious ranching was needed to get them loose, I wonder which one was used ...

Honestly I don't use loctite too often. I doubt the factory did either. The problem is that the bolts are bonding to the flange due to mild corrosion. You have to hit the wrench sharply. I use a small hammer to wack stubborn bolts loose, or an impact if space permits.
