I was at Pep Boys today and they have an assortment of oversize self threading repair bolts just for this situation. Not sure if they have the right size or not.
BTW...what is the size of the fill bolt? I need one for a spare diff I have.

The fill bolt is a 23mm, but not sure about the actual threaded part. The rubber thing I bought was a tiny bit to big. I tried shaving it, but no good. The sealent seems to be holding for now.

It amazes me that there is no torque discussion here? Was the plug torqued to Helm spec? It is very easy to overtorque a bolt...

P.S. I did a suspension install and am tearing out the trunk trim just to verify torques on the upper rear shock struts tomorrow.
