Strange things happening to car
Hi,
Some weird things started happening to my car last night. I don't know if all the things are related but I will list them for you and hopefully one of you clever guys can help me!
1. the auto down/up function on my driver side window sometimes stops working. This has occurred several times before.
2. when i'm driving the car suddenly shudders and the 'ABS' light comes on and also the radio sometimes cuts out (last night).
3. also when i put the high beams on, the radio cuts out and then comes back on after a few seconds (last night).
can anyone plz inform me of what is happening to my car? thanks for your help in advance.

This same thing happened in my prelude when the battery connectors were not seated correctly. I just removed them, then reconnected them making sure that they were pushed all the way down to the base of the battery terminal and have not had the problem since.

Not sure if youve checked it or not but it sounds like youre losing voltage, so my first thing to check besides the battery would be the alternator. The things you are describing sound like the normal symptoms of a failing alternator. It happened to me and luckly I was in my driveway when it crapped out. If you go to a reputable shop and have them check the charging voltage to the battery they should tell you right there if that is your problem. My civic had dimming headlights, the radio would sometimes shut of and power on, and sometimes it felt like the engine was just gonna die at idle....... If it is the alternator try to buy a brand new one so you dont have to worry about the problems that rebuilt alternators tend to have...... Hope that helps man
