Default strange noise from rear of car

ok so it seems im stumped now. with the windows and top up I've started to notice a noise that is almost like a faint cricket. its hard to describe. but it basically sounds like its coming from the drivers rear. the noise appears when accelerating around 3k RPMs. any ideas? its an 04 with 120,000 miles

tried to get it in a video below. you can faintly hear it

That's the RPM range where in our cars if something is loose or touching metal to metal, it's gonna sound funny. I'd check back under your soft top area and see if theres anything loose back there. plastics, maybe even suspension stuff although that would probably be a clunking sound, fuel pump cover(i put some noise dampening stuff between mine and the car), just have a peek

i could hear it, axle nuts?? Maybe wheel bearing??

Also when was the last time you changed out the diff oil. i dont think its the diff, mine went and its a loud clicking that you wont miss and doesnt come from either side just the rear. but just to be safe, keep your diff in good working order. Anytime i hear a clicking from the rear of any s2k i get diff anxiety
