Strange no brake lights, why?
I have no brake lights on my 2000 s2k. I've replaced the bulbs but the trunk brake light wasn't working either so i didn't figure it was that. I checked all the fuses they check out. Horn works. Cruize control works. I took apart the brake switch and cleaned the contact sensors in it and put it back in... still no brake lights. But cruize control works so i didn't really figure it was that either. whats left?!?

to my understanding, if it was the switch the cruize control wouldn't work, i've checked all the fuzes unless i overlooded one but i put a fresh 10 amp fuze in the tail light fuze slot in the kick panel fuze box, and if it was ground the trunk light would still function, but all 3 brake lights don't work.

The brake switch has two sets of contacts. Both can break cruise. 1 and 4 are specific to the cruise module.
There is a black/white wire that supplies power from the switch on pin 3 to the lights. Pin 2 is power in to the switch. Make sure it is connected and has 12v on it when you press the brakes. There is a ground for the third light, and a common ground for both brake lights. Both are black. The fuse is #47 under the HOOD, and it's a 10/15 depending on the year model. (should be 10A for a '00)

What I would do first: Check fuse #47. If it's blown, figure out why.
2nd: Pull the socket off of the switch and put a jumper between 2 and 3. If it lights up, get a new switch. Let me know what you find.

ya my cruize control works supurb, test passes not the brake switch. FALSE
Cruize control works, Brake switch does not work. This test actually doesn't tell you anything if your case is the same as mine
