Stranded 1000 miles from home, no spark
Alright guys, I need help. Took my S to North Carolina from illinois. Went great, never had a problem with my S in its lifetime. A week into being here the car randomly shuts off at a stop lights. Cranks and cranks but no start. Turns out there is no spark. What could be my issue here seeing it was running great and all of a sudden nothing. It's very hot and humid here but as a said it was running great. Already checked fuses

When was the last time you did a basic tune up?
i.e. spark plugs, checked the battery? worn out coil packs? What is the resistance on each of the coil packs? Coil packs start going bad around 100,000 miles. The high heat and humidity is probably exacerbating a weak coil more.
What year is your s2000? Have you tried to pull codes from the ECU?

Sorry for the double post. Let's try to consolidate this. I determined no spark by holding the plug against ground while turning over and there was no spark. I shall go to autozone and get there reader to see if I'm throwing any new codes tonight

Battery was just replaced, plugs look to be in good condition but I know they haven't been replaced for 3 years. I have limited tools on me so I can't check the resistance. Basically all I have is a test light for power.

either find a honda dealership or post on the North Carolina S2ki subforum and see if a fellow s2ki member could offer you a hand. If you have limited tools, you might as well either pay or find serious help.
