Default Strakes clips

Hey anyone out there have any ideas, suggestions, or substitutions about replacing the strake claps? I purchased my S used and just found out that 3 of the 4 claps are missing. I went to the dealer and was informed that I would have to purchase the whole kit. Don't really want to do that!! Did some searching here and really didn't find too much on the subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about those little screw "clamps" that attach the bottom strake brackets to the fender lip? If so, my only suggestion would be to hold them as best you can with needle nosed vise grips and then drill a small hole and use a nut and bolt with thread lock to hold it all together. Don't forget to use a liberal dose of silicone seal to keep the rust at bay where you drill the holes.
OR, you could fabricate your own clamps.

OR YOU could send me a pm and I can send you the clips you need if I have them... I recently purchased a new set of strakes because I was missing a mud guard...
