Default Stops at 7000 RPM? Help

So I started up my car and was goin home from work. I decided to floor it for no reason and when it was about to hit vtec it like bogged down. Any reason it would do this? I pulled over and checked my car out and then when I went tfor another ride it ran past 7k fine.

When the car is cold make that rev. cutoff to protect the engine, you need to heat the engine at least 2 or 3 bars on the temp gauge, and then you can go to 9,000rpm without any problems.

This is your car's way of screaming in pain, telling you "PLEASE, let me warm up first!"

Don't worry...many people on this board learn that lesson. That's why Honda put that in there, to protect the S from its owners

it's called the moron limiter, because it limits morons from revving their car too high without being properly warmed up first.

i never realized there was anything like that, but i guess i let mine warm up for like 10 mins before i drive it. I know that might seem a little extensive, but hey, i can deal with it.
