Default Stock shocks behavior

I've noticed on my stock '06 s2K that It tends to launch a bit off speed bumps. Not even driving hard, but I notice this in contrast to my tired old Mark I MR2 that soaked up those same bumps better.

It has only ~ 1600 miles on it, so wear isn't a factor. It seems to me that the stock shocks could use more rebound dampening.

Anyone have any thoughts on this, and recommendations for good adjustable aftermarket shocks to go with stock springs? I'm planning on staying with stock springs and sway bars; no plans to track the car.

From what I've seen the MR2's have a much more compliant suspension system than the S2000; I think this is primarily because they have substantially more suspension travel available.

Maybe the dealer never took out all the spring spacers.

check for rubber spacers in all 4 springs. They are used for shipping to increase ride height. The dealer is supposed to remove them at PDI.
