I saw an interesting comparison in Turbo Magazine this month regarding exhausts. Veilsides was actually one of the set ups that were in the shoot out. It was by far the lightest in the group, 8 pounds vs. 24+ pounds. It was also the loudest. Interesting though, it did not produce the most power.
What JZR says though is truly the best way of going about it. Take a ride in someones car before you make your choice. Just take what Cdelena said as a note.... The dual HKS was too loud for him. Of course its different strokes for different folks, but take this into consideration. The HKS is a dual muffler set up WITH a resonator. Veilside = straight through and NO resonator.

If sound level doubles, it will be 3 dB higher. A 10 dB difference would be more than 8 times louder.

I recall when either Road@Track or Car@Driver originally tested the S2000 they mentioned it was the loudest interior db measurement they had ever tested, surpassing the former champion Ferrari Marenello. The reading they got I believe was 93 db at full throttle.

this is all very ture but there are two problems with what you guys are saying, one i don't know anybody with the veil side exaust in south florida that i can hear it. and two the veil side does come with a silencer, opitonal to use of course. i've heard very good things about the veil side exaust though, at a performance shop by my house they had a book with almost every exuast you can think of, for the money $690 the veil side is a very good deal for a full titanium n1 exuast, they did three test on three diff s2k's and two gained 7hp one gained 8hp with the silencer removed they all gained 1 more hp thats 9hp. i think thats very good

Blue- You're welcome to listen to the Mugen exhaust in my car. It will be quieter than the Veilside but will allow you to find out if you're willing to go louder still.
Like cdelena, I wouldn't want to go any louder in this car, especially since mine is a daily driver. Feel free to drop me a PM.

I seriously doubt you only lose 1hp with the silencer. First off with the silencer sprintr6 still measured the veilside at a higher level then the Amuse, around 105db. That is still loud as hell. You don't need to find a Veilside exhaust, find someone with an N1 exhaust, and then multiply that 2 fold since the Veilside will be louder then that. I'd like to know which book that was btw.
