stock air box reinstall issue
I just purchased an s2000 that had a short ram intake on it, I want to return the car mostly to stock to race in bstreet, I purchased a stock air box but after install I noticed that there is a gap of 4inches or more from a hose that seems to be a large vacuum hose that runs to the front of the car and the elbow of the stock air box arm where it looks like that would connect. I am thinking that it may have been cut off? I called Honda and they didn't help much except say I needed a new airbox etc. Is it bad to run the car like it is for a short period of time? Where can I get that part? It seems locally s2000s are a short supply in junkyards. appreciate the help. and I did search but may have not typed in the correct name of that line.

You are most likely talking about #7 in the diagram. You can probably find one cheap from another member because a lot of ppl remove the secondary air systems. If you leave it unconnected, you are letting unfiltered air go into the intake and into the exhaust stream (if your secondary air system is still functioning).
