Got to a lift today after work, turns out my motor mount that is under the headers is completely blown, just got back from a 3 hr drive to ny from a guy that had a bunch of parts laying around. Got a mount with 1k miles. 50 bucks along with a few spare parts. He wanted to clean out the garage! got a cooling plate another spark plug cover alternator oil pump water put mass flow sensor crank and cam sensor bolts a/c compressor and more pumps pulleys and hoses anyways tomorrow I will replace the mount and will let you know the results maybe it can solve your shaking problems.

So i didnt want to drive the car today with a busted motor mount (paranoid), SO i woke up early and changed the mount in about an hour, very easy IMO. I can already tell the car shifts smoother and is quieter at idle and no more rattle at start or turn off didnt get a chance to go fast on the highway yet so the shake has not been put to test, the mount was torn at the top, maybe cooked up the rubber a bit since its next to the headers and eventually just ripped. I might design some kind of heat shield for the mount... hmmmmmm

it's gotta be your axles then. have you taken off the driveshaft before? If so, you might of not have align the driveshaft properly when reinstalling it, but someone once say that didn't matters.

didnt want to say anything before, but I figured the mount wasnt your problem. I am at a loss too. Im thinking its a bearing somewhere in the axle, etc...

Nope never taken them out before. All I did as far as any wheel components was grease up calipers.

I'm still glad I fixed the mount. That's one Less thing to worry about, plus a good deal. This week ends to do list, change diff fluid, change tranny fluid again, take rear rotors to get cut, buy new rim spacers, take wheels to get balanced for the 6th time... Hopefully meet up with a fellow s2kr and swap rear wheels to see if it's that. My axle click mysteriously went away.

Torque your axle just to be safe. Doubt its a balancing or wheel issue. Mine seems to be load related...only happens when cruising

I think we have the same problem, i noticed i was cruising on 5th and my knob was shaking left and right but my car was riding smooth, once i went into 6th the shaking started throughout the car. i was told the U joint on the driveshaft could be out of balance? so many different possibilities.
