sorry bout the slight miss info.. you can bench bleed it while its still installed in the car..

oh sweet thats no problem at all, thats good news. Those 2 nuts are hard to get to behind the firewall so just follow standard bench bleed procedure but instead of using a vice to hold it in just use the car to hold it in place?

yea and the brake pedal can press it in and out

disconnect the lines from the cylinder
fill it up and pump slowly, release slowly
dont let it go down less than half filled or half empty hehe.
when done bleeding connect the lines and rebleed

ok sounds good, Ill have to read up on this on a google search so you dont have to reply if you dont want, but once you disconnect the lines and pump it, wont it just squirt out? is that the point? Your help has been VERY much appreciated


oh...and this applies to the clutch master as well right... ?

disconnect the lines and your suppose to run a set of bench bleed kit lines back in to the reservoir so it doesnt suck in any air when you release the pedal..

you can make a bench bleed kit

heres some links to some people doing it on a master cylinder.. but you can do the same for a clutch master cylinder

oh cool thank you for the links! I see how it works now. I hope I can fit all the tubing in there while its on the car and hopefully that hard like wont be in the way.

So I now know that this should be done after installing a master, but im not sure why. How does it bleed it any differently than just bleeding it just like normal?

bench bleed is suppose to be done before installing it in the car.. since its easier.. but since its installed.. i dont see why u cant do it while installed unless its a really tight spot.

its mainly done to get all the REALLY SMALL bubbles out of the cylinder. since your having a slight problem with yours.. i would start with a good bench bleed and than bleed the lines after the bench bleed

bench bleeds= mainly for air in the cylinder
bleeding hte system= mainly for air in the lines
