Sticky Clutch problem SOLUTION HERE
Ok so recently i replaced my clutch myself. After being successful with this daunting tast; about 3-4 months later, the clutch got very sticky at the bottom then the clutch pedal became increasingly firm (a hard spongey feel) I then noticed that a 9k shift would make the clutch feel extremely soft then started getting stick again.A few months went by and the problem got worse and worse to the point the 9k shifts didnt help anything. I bleed the clutch multiple times and also cleaned, sanded, and lubed the clutch slave cylinder on the tranny.
SOLUTION- completely coat the shiny shaft on the clutch fork with lube that the fork pivots on (shiny piece in picture). When i replaced my clutch i wiped all the old grease off and then lubed points closest to where it spins in the clutch fork, not the entire shaft as needed causing the 2 metal surfaces to grind on eachother over time. I used Honda ultra high temp urea grease. Completely eliminated the problem
Hopes this saves some people the headache i experienced!
