Default Steering will not center

My steering will not center after both left and right turns. I must manually center the wheel myself. I find myself correcting all the time because the steering weel is costanly pulling in both directions. I have 225/50/16 in front and 245's in the back. This happens both at high and low speeds. Anyone have or had simular problems?

Yeah...you will want to check your alignment. One possible explanation...If for some reason your alignment is messed up and you have less than normal caster (+6 degrees) your steering will have less than normal centering force.

EDIT: Caster is positive degrees not negative!

thanks for the reply. just got back from the alignment shop, everything within spec on paper. but should the casters be in the negatives? Does this seem right?

LF: Caster +6.36, Camber -0.48, Toe 0
RF: Caster +6.40, Camber -0.48, Toe 0

Left Rear: Camber -1.68 Toe +1/8
Right rear: Camber -1.60 Toe +1/8

I forgot to mention the car is lowered aswell. I belive 1''in front and 1.5 in back...

Any suggestions?

Thanks again....

You ever smack a curb or do any kind of front suspension damage?

Ever drive through deep water?

I have something weird on a related subject. On my car, the alignment checks out fine, suspension should be fine, et cetera . . . however the center point for the steering wheel is not dead center. It actually sits a little to the right.

I remember being told by Xviper (I think it was him anyway) back in the day that this could have just been the way the steering wheel was aligned from the factory and to have an alignment shop look into it.

I think we are talking about two differnt things though?

That looks good, my mistake on the sign on the caster. I just double checked. It is positive.

I dont know about he previous owner. I never did either front end damage or water damage but i guess it could be a possibility. Do you think it might be the Electronic steering? does the E-sterring center the wheels?
