Has the car been in an accident, have you driven thru any lakes? I'm guessing you dont have the EPS light on.

Check tire pressures and then alignment.

^ wha?

I'd lift up the front of the car and look for anything that looks eithier moved (bolt shadow on the members) OR bent (crumpled stuff/flakey paint, etc).

The rack is most likely bent.

There is no power steering fluid to check on a electric power steering system.

well i looked underneth it and nothing i can see with my eye that looked not right. like i said the wheels are in the air and its hard to turn right but esay to turn left so it has nothing to do with the power steering. what part is the rack? is it the hole eps system?

I'm having the same problem when turning right, and i was told it was the rack and pinon...I hope this works.. I ordered mine today via ebay, and should get it put in. Unfortunately it is a bit pricey...the one I got was $390 shipped (they were asking for $450), but you get $95 back if you send them your broken one and it has a 1 yr warranty. Here's the link to the one I bought, they have more (i think). This is the best deal i've been able to find anywhere. AutoZone was $600 for the set up.

P.S. the rack is that piece if you look right underneath that bar that goes across the engine bay undereath the airbox that is the same color of your car, and given the pics from the link you shouldn't have any problems finding it.

also these guys have it at a junk yard in Atlanta, but they said their reserve is at $286 + shipping. they are really cool if you call ask for David...I bought carpet for my s, and they were really cool.

You may want to try resetting the Torque Sensor Neutral Position on your EPS. If for some reason it "forgot" the torque sensor neutral position, it might give the symptoms you describe.

The procedure for resetting it is in the Helms, or service manual.

Edit: It's also possible that your torque sensor is messed up, or is not getting a signal. There's a procedure in the service manual for diagnosing this problem. It may be as simple as a loose connector.
