Default Steering wheel clockspring

Hello,

If I don't care about airbag functionality, will ANY year S2000 clockspring work on my MY07?

Any other cars whose clockspring will fit?

I just need to have a working horn and cruise control.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a "cancel" button on the 2004-2005? Might not work if this is part of the controls.

Edit: there is a cancel button so any S2000 clockspring might work for horn and cruise but can't say for sure.

fun fact on older models the cancel button is pressing both buttons. I think the dedicate cancel button on later models just press both buttons at once.

But will the older generation clockspring work? I can't answer that one but it may. Thanks for the info Ning!

Well, if the wiring plugs are the only difference, I'm not all that worried.

I can wire the correct plugs in.

I'll give'er a whirl!

thanks

Hi, did you get this to work?

I cant for the life of me find a clock spring for my facelift 2004 model. and the ones I found are in america and are really expensive + shipping and import taxes.

my airbag light comes on, horn still works. had a mechanic look at it, he cleared the code and when he full locks the steering wheel the error comes back again. error message was 'ope or increased resistance in drivers airbag inflator'.

He reckons the srs squib or slip ring needs to be replaced. I dont have cruise control on my car if that helps.

Thanks.
