Default Steering Soft after Rack Change

My car was in an accident and I changed out the rack due to the fact that the tie rod bent the rack when it was fully extended. Anyways, got a used rack that I put in, I know the toe alignment is off because the car wanders but the steering feels really light and soft, not firm like the previous rack. No EPS light on dash, (it does light up at start up like normal). Is the fact the steering is super soft due to the fact that I need to perform an EPS reset? Thanks!!
