Isnt every day I ask for help

My supplier cariies Russel, Goodridge, and Techna fit steel braided brake lines.

My question is which one to buy. Here's what I'm looking for:

-clear plastic protective tubing on TOP of the braided line

-nice factory style mounting brackets (plastic or metal is fine)

If anyone has any of these 3 lines, if you could take a look and tell me what they have. Thanks!

My goodridge lines on my 2000 civic SiR (front and rear discs) are not coated in plastic and have served me very well for 9 years. That's thru both summer and winter seasons. my mounts are plastic. absolutely factory like fitment.

hope this helps. I believe the plastic coated goodridge lines didn't become available until a few years later for my civic.

I know these aren't in your list Bill, but I'm running the Challenge stainless lines from GT Motoring (sponsor here) which I believe are their own brand. Stainless coated in clear plastic, all the proper fittings and mounting brackets, made in USA. I've been really happy with their quality, I've run Goodridge in the past and these are as good or better IMO. Pricing and service from Greg at GT Motoring was great.

I also went with the Challenge SS lines, were like $110 shipped from a sponsor. I read something negative about the Goodridge ones so I ended up going with Challenge lines.

details:
- SS lines are plastic coated
- mounting tabs are beefy plastic

What qualities are you looking for that the oem lines arent giving you? I Remember you saying good & clean fluid and hawk+ pads is all the S needs. Your demanding more performance out of your beast it seems

everyone likes a harder pedal feel, that is basically what you get out of these parts, not much performance upgrade but then again some of our brake lines are approaching 10 years of age.

i run the stoptech lines....theyre not coated, but they fit well, increased brake feel quite a bit, and installed really easy so i cant complain...out of the three you listed, id run the russels...im not sure if theyre coated, but ive heard them get really good reviews...now that im thinking about it, i havent really heard anything bad from any of the big name companies that do SS brake hoses for our cars

I run Goodridge SS lines on all my cars listed below and every car I have ever run @ Road Atlanta.Good,solid construction and have NEVER had a problem.
