Default Starting problem

I was wondering if anyone else had a situation similar to mine, I searched and could not find any similar postings.

When I first start my car after it sits overnight or all day while I am at work, it runs like crap. I shut it down immeadiately and then I can start it up less than a second later and it runs just fine. I don't dare let it run on the inital start very long because it seems that I might do some damage. I have a ODB reader and there are no codes. The car has 95K miles on it. Could it be an 02 sensor? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, what is "runs like crap", exactly?

"Runs like crap" is a little hard to describe but if you have ever had a car with water in the gas multiply that by 100. The engine is violently shaking. Another analogy is back when the car was new and on a cold winter morning when you had to let it stall out so it learns how to maintain idle, only far far worse. It runs very very very rough. I am really surprised that a code does not come up but there is none.
