starting issues
For over a year when i try to start the car it makes the exact same kind of sound as when you try to start it when its already running. That loud grindy bad mechanical sound. Yesterday the car was having problems starting altogether. Is this a starter problem or something else? If it is the starter what might something like that cost to replace?

Sounds like a starter problem. The bendix (gear assembly on the starter) is either staying engaged when the engine starts, OR its sticking coming out, and the starter is spinning before the starter gear has engaged the flywheel. If it's the latter, you can damage the gear on your flywheel. You'd need to drop the tranny to replace the gear on the flywheel.
Either way, if it's doing it all the time get it fixed now, or you'll be push starting your car soon...

ive had a similar problem, only when its cold outside and it only happens very occasionally and from what i understand is normal in the ap1's, but since yours is more consistant i would say that its time to change out your starter. i think they are around 125 bucks from majestic honda, pretty easy to replace ive heard
