Starting Car Without Instrument Cluster Okay ?
I had to send my instrument cluster out for LED work, but I want to start up my engine to test out some fuel and oil pressure gauges I have installed in recent weeks. I just want to make sure that I can start the car up and run the engine without the cluster installed (no radio, HVAC, defrost, or cruise controls either). I have the start button that I can re-connect to fire up the engine, just no instrument cluster. I am guessing that everything will be okay but I just wanted to double check in case anyone knew of something that I'm missing. I guess I could clear any CEL's that may be tripped with my scangauge, so that shouldn't be an issue. I won't be driving the car so I don't need to worry about the speedometer or tachometer, I just want to run the engine and check for any fuel or oil leaks for the most part while verifying pressure readings. Thanks for reading and any replies on this.

You can start it, run it, drive it even. Just won't have any monitors of what's going on. I had a buddy drive 30 miles to get his S painted that did this as his was also out for LED work.

Thanks buddy !, that sounds good, I will plan to fire it up this weekend then. Jordan is the LED guy when it comes to instrument clusters and other parts.
