Why would he get flamed, lots of people disable the clutch switch for remote start.

there was quite a bit of flaming from the "original" thread, or so i've heard from the OP. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about

Me too, disabling the clutch for remote start is necessary. And as winter approaches, if you park outside, remote start sounds better and better.
