Starter makes a noise on cold start
#11
Since the temp has started to get colder, every morning while starting my car, I'll hear a noise similar to pushing the starter button while the engine is running. My car also gets up to 2.2k rpm and then slowly drops until my car dies. The next time I try to start my car, it starts fine.
I just want to know if something is going out before I get stuck somewhere.
Thanks <3

Cold start starter screech in cold weather is normal, you can take apart the starter and grease the gears if you want. Car starts high idle then lowers until it dies isn't normal, are you stock?

All stock except a k&n fipk. It's been happening every morning. I start it, makes that screech noise and goes up to 2k rpm and then drops down until it dies.I try again and it screeches and then idles at 2k rpm for about 30 seconds and then goes up to 2.5k for a few seconds then drops back down to 2k and then does its normal warm-up routine. No cel.
