what is happening is your starter gear is staying ebauged to the flywheel too long. so your starter which is a tiny little gear is spinnig that big flywheel and when you engine starts your starter gear is stay engauged to long so the big flywheel is spinning that tiny little gear way to fast and creates that weird noise way to fix it is to replace starter

This is definately your starter gear. Its quite a job getting the starter out. I wouldnt worry about it. You dont need to replace the starter, it just needs to be pulled apart and lubed. Mines been doing this a while now. Its too much of a job to go pulling everything apart for it.
I find a nice way around it is to let go of your engine start button just half a second before you normally would and as it kicks over and starts up it should have retracted in time to not grind

They all do it at some point but its always when its cold out. I hate that noise but after researching found that it has nothing to do with the TCT and must be in the starter.

Sticking starter . To fix it you replace the starter. Worse case senario by starting many times with a stuck starter is that you ruin the starter, and wait......you have to replace the starter.
