Stalling while driving and running a bit rough...
Hey guys,
Have been having some issues with drivability and intermittent engine stalling while driving.
It has happened about 2 times now, the car dies about 15 minutes in while driving on the highway and coming to a stop. Usually at around the same location (one block difference between the 2 times).
The first time, I let it sit for about 5 min, and then it started back up and I made it to work. About a month later, it happened again, but the car took about 20 minutes to start back off, once I towed it home and put it in the garage to cool off.
Both of these times, the relay would click, not sure how many times tho, but the fuel pump failed to prime immediately after shutting off and even a while later. Once the car cooled off, the fuel pump would then prime and the car would start.
Besides this, for the last year or so, the car would run a bit rough, even cruising at a steady speed. Car is boosted and would be very hesitant, especially when I got on it a little.
I'm curious as to if the main relay would cause a car to stall while moving. Or if fueling would be the reason the car has been sluggish for the last year.
Walbro pump with roughly 10k miles. I did run the tank a bit low a couple of times and I know that can cause issues.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

In a similar situation as well. Mine stalls out when the in neutral. Idle is very low, 100-400rpm and sputtering. Going to try a new MAP and vlave-adjustment + spark plugs. From what I'm reading, valve-adjustment was a cure for many.

I put in new plugs about 200 miles ago
Running an AEM map sensor
Valve adjustment done about 2k miles ago
Usually it's a soft kill, like if the key was taken out of the ignition. If it wasn't for the exhaust, I wouldn't have known it turned off.
No sputtering, idle is good too when it stalls...

I'm having the same issue, I just posted to the forum - https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/104...while-driving/. Hoping someone will have some suggestions.

The symptoms it's having sure does sound like a fuel issue, either the pump or the relay. I took the relay out and opened it up, all the connections seem fine. Wouldn't the fuel pump just stop working all together instead of intermittently going out from time to time. I have been the culprit in leaving the car with less than 1/4 tank a couple of times, for days on end. Don't know if that would cause the little sucker to get me back for it...
