Dude.. you can't compare it to a balloon... Of course it'll still expand, but just not as much. Of course SS braided braked lines are the way to go, but like I said, this mod would be a cheap project. If its sooooo unbelievable, try it yourself. Its not like it'll harm the braking system in any way, and its reversible. If you dont feel an improvement, just snip the zip ties off. See for yourself if it makes a difference in the feel of your brakes or not.

I only learned of this mod when I used to have my Civic. My mechanic that I trust, who by the way owns a performance shop here in VA, recommended this to me back then. They are the main people here who do engine swaps, turbo's, and other major engine modifications in this area. Tried it on my Civic, and it definitely made a difference. So try it, and judge for yourself.

Hmm.....wondering, doesn't a plastic tie go soft under heat? Don't think it would work if you drive hard. Sounds to much like Aggie engineering to me

Whats Aggie engineering?

I'm not saying to zip tie your brake lines and go track your car. For everyday purposes, it would improve the feel of the brakes.....

I agree...I'm a Longhorn, so no way I'd settle for such a ghetto "solution" on my car!

Hehe.. I told you its ghetto... I wouldn't do it to my S2000, but there might be some people out there willing to try it.

My SS break lines are being installed as I type. While I am impressed with the stock break system, Laguna Seca brought out its limits. If you aren't driving like a maniac on a regular basis you probably don't need to mess with the stock breaks.
