Squeek when between 2-3k rpms and 60% open throttl
There's a squeak that I always hear between 2-3k rpms and giving it a bit more than half throttle. It sounds like a loose belt slipping or something. If I lightly apply throttle, I don't hear it, and it goes away after 3k rpms.
Any ideas on what it could be and if I should be worried?

[QUOTE=shwinkwhite,Jun 15 2009, 09:43 AM] Hmmm I have the same thing on my my00 with 25k miles. I just thought it might be the clutch because it won

I've had that under hard acceleration. It may be the clutch. I have 128k on my 2nd clutch (first was changed due to the spring vibration TSB). So far not a big deal.

Happen to have a K&N filter, perhaps? I noticed that with the K&N - makes this whistling sucking in noise. Play with your throttle and see if you can reproduce it...
My squeak only occurs when the car is in motion and I apply a specific amount of throttle in the low rpms. I believe it occurs in all gears as well.

same noise here. I usually only hear it when Im driving up tantalus, this windy mountain road - happens when car is loaded & you step on throttle.
