I dream of S

I just got back from a nice little drive on some country back roads and noticed that my suspension is kinda squeaky when I pulled into my driveway. Would this be due to the spirited driving, or is there another explanation?

my rear suspension seems to creak alot too. Getting honda to fix it hopefully.

Bushings may have shifted (or at least what clamps around them). Dust may have gotten into them, too. Also, your spring ends may be riding funny on their mating parts. Suspension squeaks are a bugger to find and fix. It may take loosen all the fasteners with the suspension loaded and torquing them down again. OR, you could try going under there with a big can of Silicone spray and spraying every bushing, clamp, pivot point, springs and spring ends to see if this resolves anything. A can of spray is cheap. Getting someone to re-torque the suspension may not be.

spray all the bushings, pivots, etc with silicone. Mine used to squeak until I re-lubed it.

Also lube your hood latch and hinges. A squeaky hood latch can sound just like a squeaky shock or bushing.

I had a squeak from the rear, which was the linkage between the lower wishbone and the headlight level sensor. One of the ball joints on the linkage had dried out, so a quick grease-up and squeak gone.
The simplest way I found to determine where the squeak was coming from was to feel the vibration by holding onto whatever part you think is connected to the problem and then get someone to bounch the car. You should be able to feel the vibration, and you may get it on many parts but the part at fault will have the higher level of vibration.

WARNING:
1) Make sure you get someone heavy to bounce on the car as my 105lb girlfriend tried and the S beat her
2) Given the limited space under the S don't lay under the car, or use a ramp or pit. The heavy guy you managed to find is now bounce your S on your chest

I am going to try the silicon spray solution. It started off as a small noise but now its getting more and more serious.
