One night I decided to drive my buddy and I to the mall. He is a little heavier, and can sits snug in the passenger; the point is that he is heavy.

I noticed when I punched it, the car lags a little and when it hit VTEC it start hearing a squeaking noise from the engine. I let off right away. Now tonight when I took off in 2nd gear reaching 8-9,000RPM i hear the squeaky noises coming from the engine (maybe)...

Also, in neutral, it makes those noises in the 8-9k range...

What can this be? Please help!

Dunno... but it's probably not a good idea to rev to 8-9K RPMs with the car out of gear.

Check motor mounts. Also exhaust spring bolts.

I weigh 240-250 lbs. and have riders occasionally. There *will* be a difference in response in any car with increased load/weight. It's hardly anything that would cause a problem other than a small change in acceleration/handling.

The car weighs ~2800lbs. in street form. The weight of an extra person is likely only 10% of gross weight or less...
