Sputtering?
Alright, I dont wanna beat a dead horse on this one but here's my problem. A couple of times a day under stop and go traffic my car "bucks or sputters" like its out of gas. I have read on here that people say its normal and alot do it but something is wrong. There is no way it does it 4 to 5 times a day, sometimes more. What could it be? Fuel pump going out, bad injector, I have no clue. Nothing aftermarket is done to the motor. Please help. Thanks guys.

Does it occur usually after you let off the gas and let the clutch in (say as you're coming to a stop)? If you were to tap the throttle and "bounce" the rev once, would it drop down to way below idle, nearly stalling out in some instances?
If so, that'll be your MAP sensor. Look in the FAQs for the MAP Whack thread, or just go buy a new one (updated from hardtopguy.com, i believe) like I did.
Edit: Just noticed you have an 01 like me, so I'm 90% sure it's the MAP sensor...

Not quite stalling out. But it does drop a little. If im quick I can catch it. While it is sputtering I can press the clutch in and keep my foot depressed on the gas just a small bit, it sputters, then clears up. Maybe 2 seconds of sputtering then it clears out??? Map sensor huh. Hell ill try anything hahaha

Your post says "nothing aftermarket is done to the motor", but your sig lists a cold air intake, test pipe, & exhaust. All of these things affect how the motor behaves and the readings it gets from its sensors.
With this said... I have no additional information for your problem. Sorry.

Went to the zone and had the computer checked. Everything read ok. I even tried to unplug the MAP and run the car but it wouldnt do anything. So I think the MAP is ok. Would this have anything to do with the Air Idle Control Valve???

mine does that shit too, and the "map whack" didn't work for me, unless I somehow followed the directions wrong (which I'm 99.9999% sure I didn't).
I've considered just replacing it, see if that would do the trick... but I dunno.
