Spun Rod Bearings

I understand that there are many reasons why spun rod bearings are caused. I just figured I would see the correlation between owners who had spun them with testpipes and without. Just thought that maybe if most of the people that have spun them had testpipes on the car, that it might help people to second guess the decision to buy one without engine management.

The 1st thing to be damaged from running lean would be the pistons, bores, and rings. Not a rod bearing.
A test pipe isn't going to be a factor.
Low oil volume and pressure at the rod bearing will damage it.
