Default Spun Rod Bearings

I am just curious how many people have spun rod bearings and how many of the people that have had a test pipe on the car when the bearing spun.

Post up if you have had a spun rod bearing and whether you had a testpipe on the car.

a test pipe isn't going to cause spun bearings.

I spun a bearing once. But it was because my shoe was untied

From my understanding, please correct me if im wrong, but a spun rod bearing can be caused from running lean. Ive also heard that testpipes cause the S2000 to run lean. Thanks for your comment.

Detonation can cause a spun rod bearing. Detonation from running lean. I can't imagine a test pipe alone causing a car to run THAT lean that it would cause excessive detonation.

Regardless, I'd like to see the outcome of this post...

That is correct. Running lean can cause detonation which can cause a spun rod bearing. I know that people say running a Vortech + testpipe will make the car run lean. In my case, lean enough to spin a rod bearing, so I was just wondering if there was some kind of correlation between test pipes and spun rod bearings on the S in general.
