Default Springs and brakes and now a vibration....

Tonight a buddy of mine (who is a mechanic and knows what he's doing) installed Tein S-Tech springs, some new rotors and Hawk pads at his shop with a lift and all, etc. Everything went very smoothly and didn't have any problems until the rear brake calipers we had to crank the cylinder ourselves bc we didn't have a tool to push it back to fit over the pads.

Anyways, on the drive home we noticed a slight vibration under acceleration at around 35-40mph, most prominently in 3rd gear it seemed like, but could have just been the speed too. I know we did everything correctly and tightened everything. So my question is, is this just a simple alignment readjustment problem or is it something else? The car was fine and all until this vibration. I plan on going to get an alignment back to spec tomorrow as i can see the rear's are angled in on the top somewhat even though it was such a minimal drop to begin with.

Thanks for your noob patience

Check your lugs and try reseating your wheels.

What he said. Also make sure you have a good torque wrench and make sure all the lugs are 80 ft-lbs. You'd be amazed how much of a difference this makes. How are your tires wearing? Are they getting worn out? That can also contribute to shaking. May want to get them rebalanced as well.

Good luck.

Did you use output shaft spacers? Lowering without them can sometimes change the angle of the 1/2 shafts just enough that any odd pitting in the CV joints can result in accelerative vibration. Do the alignment anyway as you should after lowering, but you may be looking CV joint work.

Yes, that's one kind. AJ Racing also sells another kind. Check out their site for a price comparison and how they look.
If you drive it like that for too long, you may begin to form new pits and you may not get rid of the vibration even with the spacers. Nevertheless, get the alignment done. That may resolve some of your issues.
You see, your CVs may have simply be ready to go anyway. Lowering the car only showed you sooner that they were going.

If you put the spacers in you may as well try swaping the CVs as well unless you want to buy new ones anyway.

just got the alignment done. vibration is pretty much gone. i'm still so paranoid tho so i'm going to buy those output shaft spacers i guess and i'll take it easy on the car until those are on.
