Default Spoon throttle body: keep it or go OEM?

Thanks to all that have helped me make my decision to restore the original thermostat/rad switch/rad cap/air guide.

What remains now is whether to keep the Spoon throttle body in place or go OEM. It will probably come down to the same points as mentioned in other threads where a number have said "don't waste your money on a TB on a stock car as you won't get any increase in BHP, you might get a better throttle response"

So here it is: given that I am keeping the car stock and the Spoon TB is already in place (and that I have the OEM available and there is no money to be spent), which would you choose and why?

I think it is sad that the previous owner's efforts are being wasted with you.

I presume you read the other thread on this and saw that the concensus was that the cooling mods are detrimental to the car? When you've owned three S2000 over 6 years as I have, you appreciate that the UTH experts are given their respect for a reason.

You presumably think that I should keep the Spoon TB? Can I ask why?

No reason to have it, your intake manifold isn't ported to accompany the additional size and plus...the additional size we are talking about here is like 2mm which is nothing to even be concerned about.

Owning three s2k's over the years just means you don't know a good think when you have it because you just keep coming back.

As far as the spoon goes, The tb plate is not 70mm just the throats, so it's not a true 70. My thinking tho is if the previous owner went to the trouble of putting a thrermostat in, then he probably did port out the intake.

Cooling mods are done when you think you are going to be pushing the car to vtec ALOT. ie racing. On that note, you don't/aren't having as much fun with car because you don't vtec often IMHO.

Experience with larger TB's here show no power gain with NA but a little better throttle response as you are using a larger butterfly.
