Default spoon stb not compliant with aem cai

We ran into this experience a few months ago but I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. The spoon stb smashes the aem cai. I just wish we knew ahead of time

Did you put some type of padding between the STB and CAI?

Hey BDR buddy.....why should AEM fix Spoons problem? I run an AEM and the STB sold by Muz. Clearance is tight but it fits. This and the DiGrappa have Electra locked in solid!

AEM is fixing their own problems AEM should have designed the intake with STBs in mind in the first place, wouldn't you agree?

I ran into the same problem when I had the Spoon STB and an Injen CAI. The fit is tight, but it DOES fit. Just make sure to put a piece of rubber or something in between the CAI and STB. You should be fine....

How is that a problem with Spoon's design? The Spoon bar is already arched as close to the hood as possible.
