Default Spoon Sports B&B crate motor DYNO RESULTS!

Well, I took the car to Titan Motorsports for a dynotune with a VAFCII, and found out unfortunately that the VAFCII couldn't do much for this engine. I gained about 1.1 HP from the tune, but I guess 250 RWHP Natually Aspirated with OEM internals ain't too shabby... The motor had an oil change less than 1000 miles ago, but I was running on a dirty filter element on my HKS intake... The numbers were about 250 RWHP and 164 RWTQ. Nzaizar was kind enough to host the photos of my dyno plots, and they will be posted shortly. The first dyno run was without tune, the second posted was actually my eighth run, so heatsoak had already affected the numbers slightly. All that we could do was lean out the top end very little. We couldn't even drop the VTEC crossover as there was an immediate and substantial power loss... I have also included a plot with the dyno's corrective factors for all the skeptics, since I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the first pull... If you know Supras and import drag racing, you know Titan. All their equiptment is well maintained and accurate. I felt fortunate not to be the slowest car they had ever put on their dyno.... Though I was quickly assured that I was on the lower end, so that brought me back to reality... anyways, since alot of people gave me heat about getting the motor, I figured it best to let the plots speak for themselves.

Good job little buddy! How does the car feel compared to a regular S2000 or Nick's supercharged black beauty?

Very impressive. What supporting mods do you have (header/exhaust/etc)? Are the cams OEM? Is the crate motor just blueprinted & balanced? Unless you are running a very aggressive header/exhaust, I'm astonished that an OEM motor that has just been balanced and blueprinted can put 250hp to the wheels.
Congratulations, that car must feel nice.

Car feels great. Thanks guys! Supporting mods that would actually effect the dyno plots are:
HKS Racing suction kit
Spoon Throttle body
Spoon 4-2-1 header
T1R testpipe
RS*R EXmag GTII exhaust
Hondata IM gasket

The rest of the stuff on the car isn't exactly dyno material, it's all more for endurance performance... From what I'm told, stock camshafts. In fact, all OEM internals... just blueprinted and balanced with their head gasket I believe...

Troy, feels quite a bit faster than a stock S2k, but Nick's still pulls me by about 2 cars under initial acceleration... maybe it will be less when I get gears.... and a SC...

revto9k, not from what I've been told, stock cams, valvetrain, pistons, crank, etc... just blueprinted and balanced... it's my understanding that spoon cams don't make a whole lot of difference though...

Chiung, Thanks man!
