Spoon or KG/MM springs?
Okay, here goes...
I've heard lots of good stuff about KG/MM race springs from you guys and I saw Spoon dual-rate springs on Mingster's sight. Has anyone tried the Spoon springs? Are they even available yet? Where can I see some specs?
I want to lower my car about an inch and I've only had experience with progressive rate springs on my previous cars (with good results). I don't want the ride to be too stiff but I can live with a tad more stiffness. I was leaning toward the KG/MMs because of all the good things I've read....BUT....if the Spoons can offer comparable performance with a better ride, then I'll "spring" for them (sorry ).
BTW I'm runnung 18x9 wheels with 265/35s in the back and they rub occasionally even with the stock springs. And coil-overs are out of the question because I like to drive my car AND have a meal once in awhile. AND I don't want to mess up the factory alignment settings too much because I know pretty much nothing about the settings on this car.
So, am I asking for the impossible here, or what?

Wow, I didn't know the springs were made by KG/MM.
So you think lowering the car would be a bad idea even if I rolled the fenders? I was planning on having them rolled when I put on springs. Maybe I could give it a little more negative camber so the wheels might tuck in?
I bought the car used with the wheels already on it (I never would have gone that widemyself) and I'm stuck with them for now, but I'd like to lower it if at all possible.
Thanks for your help. I'm pretty new here but your opinion seems to be pretty highly regarded and I'm glad you answered the post. And if I do find a way to work it out, I'll definitely order from you.

I found a guy (Dum Dum Head) with the same wheels and tire size as me and he has the kg/mm race springs. He says he has no rubbing, but he had to do a little "trimming(?)" I guess he tracks his car pretty often (with stock wheels) so I don't think he would resort to dangerous camber (unless he changes it every time he puts the bigguns back on?). Anyway, I PMd him to see what exactly he has done to make this work. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Mingster...if you could PM me the prices and the approximate wait for the kg/mm 35mm and Spoon dual-rate springs it would be really helpful. I need to know when I should start my Cup-o-Soup diet so I'll have the money... if I can make this work.

Okay...Dum Dum Head said he trimmed his bumper a little (not sure where just yet) and rolled the fenders and he only rubs when the suspension hits the bumpstops. He's running -2.0 camber. Does this sound reasonable?
