spoon exhaust gasket
Anyone who has installed a spoon exhaust. Do you know what gasket to use between the catalytic converter and the exhaust? It looked like it used to have some type of fiber gasket but i just ordered one from honda that is round??

Charles:
The round gasket that you ordered is the collector gasket (the gasket that goes in between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter). The gasket the goes in between the catalytic converter and the b-pipe section has three holes in it. It's almost shaped like a triangle ...but not as clearly defined.
Hope that clears up any confusion.
EDIT: You want the gasket in this picture:

It would be item number eleven in the picture: (product number 105848).

You got the right gasket from Honda but it won't work with your Spoon exhaust. The stock gasket is a donut style whereas the Spoon exhuast needs a flange gasket with a 3 bolt design. It should have came with the exhuast if you bought it new...if not give Alan at A&J Racing a call 604-279-0329. He may be able to track one down for you.
I spent 3 months tracking this gasket down so good luck. I will post pictures of the two tomorrow; I can't find the digital camera right now.

Thanks Guys.
I went to a muffler shop and they had sheets of cut your own out of some type of waffle looking metal material. It seems to seal fine thought it was a real pain to cut.
