Spoon carbon fiber cold air intake rubbing the inside of the hood. Design fault?Help!
I have a technician installed a Spoon carbon fiber cold air intake to my S. It works well until I notice scratches on the intake and I discover scratches on the underside of the hood. It does not take a genius to figure it out the intake is rubbing the hood.
According to the instructions, the intake is in the right position. I know it is a tight squeeze to begin with, but it should not rub. I wonder if it is a design fault.
My first question is would that scratch increase the likelyhood of rusting?
My second question is how can I fix it?
Any advice on any of the above questions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
