Shamu,

We've already done the preliminary cylinder head work. The exhaust side shows large gains quite easily (around 10% flow without much work - good for supercharged folks) while the intake is a bit tougher. But gains have been found. At present, our R&D head is getting new valve seats so we can try another set of valve angles/sizes. We hope to have a finalized head on a test car by end of January, early Feb. I hope to see about 10-15 hp just from headwork with only a slight bump 0.1-0.2 in compression (want to leave room for valve clearances).

This is a project that has been funded by your fellow S2K nuts (like S2KRob and me). Because the amount of work required on the F20C head is small by most head standards, the porting will likely be pretty cheap from the porter we're working with on the R&D, under $1000, and maybe way under $1000.

I think you guys are onto something big. I hope that something comes out soon. I've decided to go all motor instead of forced induction because I'm more into autoX than drag. Please keep me informed on Toda's development. Anyone hear anything new about Kingmotorsport's 2200 stroker kit? Is there any hope of Toda coming out with something comparable?

Cheers,

Be Safe and Have A Happy New Year

I think I'm gonna go with the Spoon head gasket, unless an alternative surfaces....
