The S2k has 4 wheel hub mounted sensors. This is what I would do.

1. I believe (read I have never dealt with this issue before) that the displayed speed is an average of the 4 sensors. Check the connections and see what happens.

2. Verify the input to the speed display.

3. Verify the CPU connections.

4. If nothing works, take it to a dealer or mechanic.
NO, the s2000 does NOT have 4 wheel mounted speed sensors for the speedo. Where does stuff like this come from? Someone needs to get a service manual (http://www.helmsinc.com) and review it in detail.

Fact 1. The S2000 has 1 sensor, mounted in the transmission. It reads from the secondary shaft on the early cars (00-05) and the output shaft on the the later models (06+) .

Honda had an issue with the Speedos (and Odometer) reading wrong. Normally it was faster then it should be. (IIRC). There was a Class action law suite, and Honda settled. I.E. The mileage was higher then actuall miles driven, the lessors had to pay for the excess.

Fact 2, there are 4 hub mounted speed sensors. They are tied to the ABS system. They are only used by the ABS System.
